One & Two

Andrew Droz Palermo : 2015

Brother and sister Zak and Eva live with their parents in a strange world. The family runs their small farm using methods that are over 150 years old. They work without machines, tractors or electricity. Hay is turned with a pitchfork, laundry washed on a washboard and their waggon is drawn by horses. The siblings endure their father's strict regime by exploring their mysterious abilities under the cover of night-time. But when their mother falls gravely ill, it sets in motion a series of events and deep-seated conflicts that will reveal dark family secrets and stretch the pair's bonds to the limit. Andrew Droz Palermo's narrative feature debut premiered in the Generation section at Berlin International Film Festival 2015, and had its UK premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2015.
